The GHRSST-PP Data Processing Specification Technical Advisory Group (GDS-TAG)
The GHRSST-PP Data Processing Specification (GDS) TAG is responsible for the scientific review of the GDS documentation. The GDS document provides a detailed technical definition of GHRSST-PP data products and services.
The current activities of the GDS-TAG are focused on a version 2.0 of the GDS documentation based on the experience gained within the GHRSST-PP over the last 3 years. A new filename specification, data file structures and content, file and data set metadata and a seamless NRT to climate data record (CDR) Regional/Global Task Sharing framework are all components of the GDS-v2.0.
The GDS v2.0 is planned as a series of linked documents (on-line and as pdf) which are expected to be complete in 2008.
