Golden Gate BridgeFlight information:

Fly into Santa Rosa!  There are direct flights into the Santa Rosa airport.  This avoids the traffic of San Francisco and is recommended, if the connections are reasonable.  The Santa Rosa airport code is STS.  Flights are from Los Angeles, CA (LAX), Seattle (SEA), Portland (PDX), and Las Vegas (LAS) on Alaska Airlines (actually a Horizon flight).  There is talk of a United flight from Denver to Santa Rosa being added soon.  The Denver flight would likely be the best option for many people from the East Coast or Europe.  I will update this page if more information becomes known.  Once you arrive the airport, take a taxi to the hotel.

Connect through LAX to STS:  The LAX connection is likely the most convenient for many international flights.  The Santa Rosa Horizon flight leaves from Terminal 3.  Try to re-check your bags, if possible, at the international terminal.  Exit the international terminal, walk to your left, and you will be there in 5 minutes.  Domestic transfers:  There is an airside shuttle between T3 and T4, otherwise you will have to exit and re-enter through security lines.

Fly into San Francisco (SFO) and drive/bus to Santa Rosa:  The traffic to Santa Rosa is particularly bad between 3:30PM - 6:30PM, schedule your flight accordingly, if possible, or take a bus rather than drive.  There is a bus that runs from SFO to Santa Rosa, about every hour. and costs ~$32  More info at http://www.airportexpressinc.com for pickup locations.  Request a taxi at the Santa Rosa Days Inn stop (they will call one for you).  The taxi fare is ~$15 to downtown.  If you would rather drive, driving directions are here.

Fly into Oakland (OAK) and drive to Santa Rosa:  You can fly into OAK and drive to Santa Rosa.  The traffic to Santa Rosa is particularly bad between 3:30PM - 6:30PM, schedule your flight accordingly.  There is a bus that runs from OAK to Santa Rosa, but infrequently and it is better to drive.  Driving directions here
